Add some YAD punch to your lunch by joining us for our first ever "YAD Means Business" event!

Network with fellow YADdies and glean some words of wisdom, inspiration, and good ideas from our guest speaker, local serial entrepreneur, Michael Shem-Tov.

Michael Shem-Tov was born 33 years ago in Israel to an Iraqi father and American mother. He moved to Atlanta when he was 10 and to Charleston at the age of 18, to attend CofC. He graduated with honors from the Business School in May of 2000, and opened his first Mellow Mushroom, on King Street, in January of 2001. Over the past two years he has started four other businesses, including a plumbing company, the Mellow Mushroom in Avondale, Bad Jew BBQ sauces, and most recently, Butcher & Bee sandwich shop. He has partners in each of those businesses but remains active in all of them.

He loves to cook and eat. He also enjoys helping others, especially with their entrepreneurial pursuits. His other passion is for trading stocks and options. Despite these various business endeavors, he cares less about money than the average person, and instead prefers to give than to buy, and makes plenty of time to spend time with his girlfriend and family.

Mark your calendar, practice that firm handshake, and join YAD for lunch - we mean business!
